Krista Mcfarland, DIRECTOR OF TALENT & CULTURE
Email: [email protected]
Krista joined our team in June of 2021 as Executive Assistant to the CEO. With her tenacity, easygoing personality, and knack for seeing and solving problems, she quickly carved out a niche for herself, and the Manager of Culture & Training position was born!
As Manager of Culture & Training, Krista worked closely with our Human Resources Manager and our Marketing team to promote a positive, employee-friendly company culture, Her responsibilities included employee orientations, bartender TIPS certification training, monthly newsletters, DEI trainings, team-building activities, and everything in-between!
In 2023, Krista was promoted to the role of Director of Talent & Culture, where she oversees our Human Resources and Culture and Training Departments. In this role, she continues to build a solid, scalable infrastructure for our company's onboarding process and for ongoing employee training so that current and future employees can continue to grow professionally during their tenure at High Spirits Hospitality. She is also charged with nurturing a positive, inclusive company culture for all HSH employees across all our divisions. It's a big job, but we know there's no better person to tackle it!
Krista has an associates degree in business from Alexander College, and she is a dual citizen of both the United States and Canada. She is obsessed with all things cooking, baking, and dining, and has even worked as a private chef. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, painting, and hanging out with her husband and their two dogs, Monty and Chuy (who are both very, very cute).
Krista was the 2022 recipient of our Leadership Impact Award. She is a master of cultivating meaningful relationships in the workplace–with clients, vendors, guests, and coworkers–and has become an invaluable part of inspiring and encouraging our team to be our best every day.
