Develop Passion"When I started this internship I thought I was only interested in marketing, but along the way, I developed a passion for event planning and all of the hard work that goes into making a flawless event.
I have been surrounded by influential people who I have had the privilege of learning from and I am truly thankful for the opportunity to intern with HSH." - Simone Corpora, former Marketing Intern |

Frequently Asked Questions About the Program
What will I be doing?
Every day is different for our interns, you could be working on a new marketing piece or setting up tables for an event. We assign tasks based on your personal skill set, so if you are great at graphic design for example, we'll have you working on a brochure. We try to mix things up so you don't get bored and get to see every aspect of the company. Aside from your projects, we'll also let you shadow our team on meetings, sales calls, and events.
Will I get paid?
Yes, our interns get paid $12 an hour. You'll also be able to earn some tips when you are scheduled for events!
Are there any stipends or housing provided?
Aside from your hourly wage we do not provide any stipends or allowances for housing. Interns who aren't local are responsible for finding their own housing. Most of our interns in the past have had luck finding a short-term sublet.
What kind of skills will I develop?
We are a small business, so we have our interns doing a wide variety of tasks. Aside from working events as a bartender or general staff, most of our projects are marketing and event planning focused. Some sample projects and daily tasks include:
Who will I report to?
Each intern has a direct supervisor which varies based on their position. Of course, we are a VERY busy team, so you are expected to work independently and manage your own time. You'll meet with your supervisor a few times a week to check in and get further instructions about your projects and tasks. You may also work with another member of our team if the project calls for it. Good communication skills are key for this job.
Can I get college credit?
Yes, we are happy to fill out a report provided by your school so you can earn college credit.
What kind of hours would I work?
We try to hire only full-time interns, so most interns can expect to work 32-40 hours a week. Full-time interns will typically work Tuesday-Friday from 9:00-5:00 in the office and then be assigned to work 1-2 events a week. Events may be at night or on the weekend. Of course you can request time off if you have a planned vacation or other obligation.
I love the sound of this program, what do I need to do to apply?
We hire our interns seasonally in March, June, and November for the Spring, Summer, and Fall semester cycles. Click on the link above to fill out an online application. We will sort through the applications and email you if we would like to have a phone interview. After the phone interviews we narrow down our search and host in-person or virtual interviews and may ask for a writing sample. We do get a ton of applications, so don't be discouraged if you aren't selected. It's a very competitive program!
What do I need to do to stand out from the crowd?
Because we are super competitive, we really do want to see your personality in the interview process. We hire young folks who are amped up and excited about the idea of working for us. We want you to bring something to the table, so we look for energy, confidence, and most important, smiles! We'll assess your skill set to determine if we have a fit for you at the time, and try to determine during your interview if you fit into our company culture. Little tip, we consider how fast you respond to emails and if you really want to stand out, don't tell us you want to be a wedding planner because you watched the J. Lo movie!
If I intern with you, is there a full-time job offer afterwards?
As much as we love all our interns, we can't guarantee a full-time job after the program has ended. We are however a growing business and have hired several of our past interns when we have had an opening. We do try to use our business connections to at least land you interviews with local companies and are happy to provide a good reference if you wow us!
